Ji Chang Wook is drawing attention online after appearing in a funny and unusual advertisement that is very different from his usual image.

Recently, a video titled “Ji Chang Wook’s recent advertisement suspected of showing financial difficulty” spread online. The title was a joke from viewers who were surprised by how far the actor went for the ad.

The advertisement was directed by Dolphin Kidnappers, an ad agency known for its unique B grade humor. In the video, Ji Chang Wook lets go of his clean and serious image and shows a completely unexpected side of himself.

To promote a roaming service for telecom company S, Ji Chang Wook turns into a robot that shoots lasers from his eyes.

He also wears a cape, rides on top of a suitcase, and keeps shouting with energy, creating a funny and chaotic scene.

The actor’s bold performance made many viewers laugh, with some jokingly asking, “How much money did he receive?” The unusual concept also led to playful reactions about whether he was going through financial difficulty.

Despite the jokes, Ji Chang Wook remains one of Korea’s well known actors. He debuted in the 2008 independent film “Sleeping Beauty” and later gained wider fame through dramas such as “Smile Again”, “Warrior Baek Dong Soo,” “Empress Ki,” “Healer,” and “The K2.”

Ji Chang Wook is currently in Cannes, France, as his film “Colony” was officially invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival.
