CORTIS wins first public TV music show trophy on “Music Bank” as “REDRED” continues to dominate charts in Korea and overseas

CORTIS is continuing their strong rise with another music show win and major chart results.

The group, made up of Martin, James, Ju Hoon, Sung Hyun, and Gun Ho, won 1st place on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” on May 15 with their title track “REDRED.” This marks their first public TV music show win since debut.

With this latest win, “REDRED” has now earned 5 music show trophies. The group previously won on Mnet’s “M Countdown” on April 30, May 7, and May 14, as well as MBC M and MBC every1’s “Show! Champion” on May 13.

After the win, the members thanked their fans, saying, “Thank you for listening to and enjoying our music so much. We love COER, who made us win 1st place.” They added, “It has not even been 1 year since our debut, but we love the fans who gave us such a wonderful award. It is an honor to continue this journey together.”

“REDRED” is also performing strongly on Korean music charts. The song reached No. 1 on Melon’s “Top 100” at 11 PM on May 13 and stayed at the top at the same time on May 14 and 15. It also ranked No. 3 on Melon’s daily chart for 4 days in a row from May 11 to 14 and held No. 1 on Bugs’ daily chart during the same period.

The group is also gaining attention overseas. “REDRED” ranked No. 78 on Spotify’s “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart for May 8 to 14, staying on the chart for 3 straight weeks. CORTIS also passed 11.17 million monthly listeners on Spotify as of May 14, setting a new record for the group.

On the May 16 Billboard “Bubbling Under Hot 100” chart, “REDRED” ranked No. 17. In Japan, the song placed No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s “Heatseekers Songs” chart and No. 32 on the “Hot 100” chart for May 4 to 10. In China, it ranked No. 3 on QQ Music’s “New Songs Chart” dated May 15 and has stayed on the chart for 25 days.

Their 2nd mini album “GREENGREEN” also showed strong album power. It ranked No. 1 on the UK Official “Physical Singles” chart, No. 2 on “Official Singles Sales,” and No. 6 on “Official Hip Hop & R&B Albums” for May 15 to 21. In Korea, it topped both the Circle weekly album chart and retail album chart for May 3 to 9. In Japan, it ranked No. 2 on Oricon’s “Weekly Combined Album Ranking” for May 4 to 10.

CORTIS will continue promotions with “REDRED” and their B side track “TNT” on MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on May 16 and SBS’s “Inkigayo” on May 17.
