The group, made up of Martin, James, Ju Hoon, Seong Hyeon, and Geon Ho, has entered Spotify’s “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart with their 2nd mini album title track “REDRED.” The song ranked No. 61 for the May 1 to May 7 tracking period, rising 42 spots from the previous week.
With this, CORTIS became the first K pop boy group that debuted within the last 5 years to enter Spotify’s Global Weekly Top 100. “REDRED” also charted in 22 countries and regions, including Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Hungary.
The song is also staying strong on Spotify’s daily chart. On May 7, “REDRED” ranked No. 64 on “Daily Top Songs Global” and remained on the chart for 16 straight days. In Korea, it held No. 1 on Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs” chart for 10 days.
CORTIS is also seeing a big rise in listeners. As of May 9, the group passed 9.78 million monthly listeners on Spotify, which is more than 30% higher than their average of around 7.1 million in early April. This is also the 5th highest monthly listener record among K pop boy groups.
In Korea, “REDRED” ranked No. 8 on Melon’s daily chart on May 7. It also placed No. 4 on Bugs and No. 11 on Vibe. On Apple Music’s “Today’s Top 100: South Korea,” the song stayed at No. 1 for 13 straight days as of May 8.
Their album sales are just as strong. “GREENGREEN,” released on May 4, sold over 2.02 million copies in only 4 days according to Hanteo Chart. The album also entered Japan’s Oricon “Daily Album Ranking” at No. 1 on May 7.
