SBS’s Wednesday Thursday drama “Sold Out On You” is trying to turn things around after a weaker than expected ratings performance.

The drama had high expectations before its release, especially as it was compared to SBS’s past hit “My Love from the Star”.

The legendary drama, which aired from 2013 to 2014, recorded an impressive peak rating of 28.1% and became one of SBS’s most memorable dramas.

However, “Sold Out On You” has not been able to reach that level so far. Since its first episode, the drama has seen its ratings fall, leading to a disappointing report card.

Now, the series is aiming for a rebound with a new development between its main characters.

In episode 5, Ahn Hyo Seop’s character Matthew Lee is expected to finally accept the offer from Dam Ye Jin, played by Chae Won Bin. Their relationship, which started with tension and conflict, will begin to shift into a business partnership.

The drama will focus on whether Matthew Lee and Dam Ye Jin can solve the issue surrounding the raw material supply contract with Letoile. The story will also touch on Letoile’s entry into Hit Home Shopping, another key business point in the drama.

One line that is drawing attention is Matthew Lee telling Dam Ye Jin, “Let’s see each other every day.” The line hints at a change in his feelings while keeping the story focused on their growing partnership.

Still, Matthew Lee is not making things easy. He adds a new special condition to the contract, leaving Dam Ye Jin surprised once again. Viewers are now curious about what condition he will bring up and how it will affect their relationship.

With its ratings still far from the 28.1% success of “My Love from the Star,” “Sold Out On You” is under pressure to prove itself.

The drama now appears to be using the changing dynamic between Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin’s characters as its chance to win back viewers.
