CORTIS has officially earned their first music show win since debut.

On the April 30 broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown, CORTIS took first place with their new song “REDRED.”

The win drew attention because the group achieved it without album points, relying on strong digital scores, global social media results, fan voting, and broadcast points.

“REDRED” is the title track of CORTIS’s second mini album GREENGREEN, which is set to be released on May 4.

The song was pre released on April 20 and has already been showing strong results on charts.

After being announced as the winner, the members became emotional and thanked their fans. They said, “It does not feel real. We love COER so much.” They added, “While preparing our second mini album, we had many goals and ambitions, and it feels like we achieved one result together with our fans.”

Later, during a Weverse live broadcast, CORTIS shared that this was an award they had wanted since preparing their debut album. The members said, “It is meaningful and we are thankful to win first place with the title track before our second mini album has even been released.”

They also thanked everyone who supported them, saying the award was possible because of the “blood, sweat, tears, and love of many people.”

The group also said they were happy to see fans cheering with light sticks during the show, adding, “We still have many promotions left, so please look forward to them.”

“REDRED” is gaining attention for its fresh sound and unique performance. All members are credited on the song, and they also took part in the choreography and music video. The song’s “palang ear dance” has also been spreading on short form platforms.

The song is also performing well online and on music charts. A performance video from M Countdown passed 1.6 million views in one week and was selected as the “M Countdown PICK Stage” for the fourth week of April.

CORTIS also became the first boy group that debuted within the last five years to enter Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” chart. “REDRED” ranked No. 90 on the April 29 chart and stayed on the chart for eight days. It also ranked No. 49 on Apple Music’s “Today’s Top 100: Global” on April 30.

In Korea, “REDRED” stayed at No. 1 on Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs” for three straight days and Apple Music’s “Today’s Top 100: Korea” for five straight days.

It also reached personal bests on Korean daily charts, ranking No. 73 on Melon, No. 14 on Bugs, and No. 40 on Vibe.

With GREENGREEN nearing 1 million Spotify pre saves before release, CORTIS is already proving strong momentum for their comeback.
