Ahn Jae Hyun is receiving attention after briefly mentioning his past marriage during a YouTube variety show appearance.
On April 28, the YouTube channel Alddaldalhan Chamgyeon uploaded a new episode featuring Muzi, Heo Kyung Hwan, Ahn Jae Hyun, and Kang So Ra.
During the episode, the cast played the Son Byung Ho game, where players fold a finger if a statement applies to them.
When the topic turned to dating and marriage, Heo Kyung Hwan said, “Fold if you did not have a wedding,” and folded one of his fingers. However, Ahn Jae Hyun also folded his finger, surprising the cast.
Ahn Jae Hyun then explained, “I did not have one,” referring to a wedding ceremony. The room became quiet for a moment, and Heo Kyung Hwan apologized. The production team also added a caption saying they did not know what subtitle to put in that moment.
The brief comment later gained attention as some viewers recalled Goo Hye Sun’s past statement about repeated indirect mentions of their divorce on entertainment programs.
In a previous social media post, Goo Hye Sun shared her discomfort over her former spouse indirectly bringing up their divorce on shows.
She said that despite their difficult divorce process, repeated indirect comments that could make people think of her were “cowardly.”
She also said that when gossip-style programs ask questions or offer comfort about the issue, it can become “secondary harm” to the former spouse involved.
Goo Hye Sun also wrote, “I hope there is conscience in entertainment shows.” She added that even if something is said “for fun” or “as a joke,” it should stop if the person involved may feel uncomfortable.
She continued by saying that no one has the right to mock her for public entertainment. She also said she hopes her former spouse can be recognized for his own identity and sincerity, not by using her as a topic.
Ahn Jae Hyun and Goo Hye Sun married in 2016 and officially divorced in 2020 after a public dispute.
