BTS is continuing their strong global impact as their 5th full album ARIRANG tops major weekly charts both in Korea and worldwide.
According to Hanteo Chart on March 30, ARIRANG ranked No. 1 on both the Weekly World Chart and Album Chart for the period of March 23 to 29. After first reaching No. 1 just three days after release, the album has now held the top spot for two consecutive weeks.
The group also achieved major success on Billboard. ARIRANG debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated April 4, recording 641,000 album units.
This marks the highest weekly performance for a group album since the chart began tracking units in 2014. Out of this, 532,000 were pure album sales, setting a new record for group album sales in over 10 years.
BTS also swept global streaming charts. On Spotify’s weekly global charts, they ranked No. 1 on Weekly Top Albums, Weekly Top Songs, and Weekly Top Artists.
The title track “SWIM” reached No. 1 on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart, while all 14 tracks from the album entered the Top 30.
“SWIM” also stayed at No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart for 9 consecutive days and held the top spot on Apple Music’s Top 100 Global chart for 7 consecutive days.
Notably, all tracks from the album charted across both platforms, showing balanced popularity worldwide.
