
BTS is once again proving their global power as their latest album Arirang sets new career records in both sales and charts.
According to Hanteo Chart, the album surpassed 4.17 million copies in first week sales, marking the group’s highest record to date and beating their previous album Map of the Soul 7.
The album also became a million seller within just 10 minutes of release and sold nearly 4 million copies on its first day, making it the highest first day sales for any album released in 2026.
On global platforms, Arirang is showing strong performance. The album ranked No. 1 on Apple Music in 115 countries and regions, highlighting BTS’s worldwide reach.
The title track “Swim” also achieved impressive results, staying at No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart for 6 consecutive days.
In Japan, the album went straight to No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking, marking BTS’s 7th No. 1 on the chart and the highest weekly sales among overseas artists this year.
With record breaking sales and global No. 1 rankings across platforms, BTS continues to show their unmatched influence in the music industry.
