Jennie of BLACKPINK has solidified her status as a top solo artist after taking home two major awards at the Korean Music Awards, often called the Korean Grammys.
At the 23rd Korean Music Awards held on the 26th, Jennie won Best K Pop Album with her first full-length solo album Ruby and Best K Pop Song with her title track like JENNIE, achieving a double win.
“Ruby,” which features 15 tracks across various genres, highlights Jennie’s direct involvement in the album’s production. Through this project, she showcased her unique musical identity and wide range as a solo artist. The album and its title track also recorded strong results on global charts, setting new milestones and reinforcing her influence beyond group activities.
Before the ceremony, Jennie had already drawn attention by earning nominations in five categories, including Musician of the Year, Album of the Year, Best K Pop Album, Song of the Year, and Best K Pop Song. Her double victory further confirmed both her artistic recognition and public appeal.
With two major trophies from one of Korea’s most respected music award ceremonies, Jennie continues to prove her strong presence in the K pop industry as a solo artist.
