Rookie boy group Cortis is making headlines after surpassing 10 million followers on Instagram in the shortest time among K pop groups.
Cortis, consisting of Martin James, Juhun, Sung Hyun, and Gun Ho, reached the 10 million mark on their official Instagram account at around 3:30 PM on the 21st. The milestone comes just six months after they shared their first post in August last year, setting a new record among K pop groups.
Notably, Cortis is the first K pop group that debuted within the past five years to hit 10 million Instagram followers.

As of 7 AM on the 22nd, they also rank first in follower count among boy groups who debuted in the last five years across major global platforms.
The group currently has 9.5 million followers on TikTok, 3.12 million subscribers on YouTube, and 3.07 million followers on Weverse, showing strong numbers across multiple channels.
Despite debuting only about half a year ago, Cortis has shown rapid growth. Even after wrapping up official promotions for their debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,’ their follower count continued to rise steadily.
Their performances at domestic and international award shows and concerts reportedly helped boost their visibility and attract new fans.
Cortis also gained attention in North America after becoming the first Korean singer to headline the NBA Crossover concert series and perform at the halftime show of the 2026 Ruffles NBA All Star Celebrity Game, further expanding their global reach.
With record breaking follower numbers and top rankings among recent boy groups, Cortis is proving their strong presence in the global K pop scene.
