Actor Sung Joon has officially begun a new chapter in his career after signing with newly established agency MOAN Entertainment.
On August 24, MOAN Entertainment announced that it had signed an exclusive contract with the actor.
The agency said, “We are happy to work with Sung Joon, who has shown a wide range of acting with his own unique style regardless of genre. We will fully support him so that his many strengths can shine even more through future projects.”
Sung Joon also shared his thoughts on the move, explaining that his decision was based on a long-standing relationship of trust with MOAN Entertainment CEO Jung Se Yeon.
He said, “I am beginning this new journey together with CEO Jung Se Yeon based on the trust we have built over a long period of time.”
The actor added, “I will work hard so that I can greet everyone more often through good projects and performances at MOAN Entertainment.”
Sung Joon made his acting debut in 2011 through KBS2’s White Christmas and has since appeared in dramas including Shut Up Flower Boy Band, Can We Get Married?, I Need Romance 3, Discovery of Love, and The Fiery Priest 2.
More recently, he made a special appearance in MBC’s Perfect Crown, playing Lee Hwan, the older brother of Lee Wan, portrayed by Byeon Woo Seok.
He has also worked across different film genres through projects such as Pluto, The Villainess, and The Grotesque Mansion.
MOAN Entertainment was founded by Jung Se Yeon, who has worked in artist management for about 16 years. Sung Joon is the company’s first signed actor, marking the beginning of both the agency’s expansion and a new stage in his career.
