SEVENTEEN members Dokyeom and Seungkwan have added another strong overseas achievement as their unit album continues to gain attention in Japan.

According to the Japan Record Association on the 10th, Dokyeom and Seungkwan’s first mini album ‘Soya Song’ officially received a Gold Disk “Gold” certification, which is awarded to albums that surpass 100,000 copies in cumulative shipments.

With this result, SEVENTEEN has now earned their third Gold Disk certification as a unit. Previously, Jeonghan and Wonwoo achieved Gold with ‘THIS MAN’, while S Coups and Mingyu also received Gold for ‘HYPE VIBES’. As a full group, Seventeen now holds an impressive total of 18 Gold Disk certified albums, including singles.

‘Soya Song’ showed strong chart power from the start, selling close to 100,000 copies on its release day in Japan and debuting straight at No. 1 on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking on January 22. The album later returned to No. 1 again on February 5, proving its steady popularity.

The title track ‘Blue’ has also been receiving notable attention. The song entered No. 1 on Spotify Japan’s Daily Viral Songs chart on January 26 and remained at the top for six consecutive days, standing out as a rare ballad success in a market dominated by performance driven K pop tracks.

With strong album sales, multiple No. 1 rankings, and continued viral momentum, Dokyeom and Seungkwan are further proving SEVENTEEN’s lasting popularity and solid presence in the Japanese music market.
