BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven his global power as a fashion and beauty icon.
After being officially named a global ambassador for Chanel Beauty, Jungkook starred in a stunning photoshoot and interview for the ELLE 2026 January issue, taking the cover in all 9 individual versions plus a set version, and every single copy sold out. Fans around the world rushed to pre-order the issue on Weverse Shop, confirming the so-called “Jung Kook effect.”
This isn’t the first time Jung Kook has broken sales records. He previously sold out the Rolling Stone Korea cover on Weverse Shop, solidifying his reputation as the “Sold-Out King.”

The photoshoot, completed in Paris, showed Jung Kook’s mysterious, elegant, and captivating visuals. As a “sexy symbol pop star,” he perfectly balanced charm, boyishness, and masculinity, earning the nickname “Chanel Prince” among fans.
The ELLE Korea Chanel Beauty photoshoot video also gained massive attention online, surpassing 8.25 million views on Instagram. The magazine’s beauty director shared, “The three teaser videos were stunning. Getting 1 million likes on a teaser is something I’ve never experienced before,” highlighting Jungkook’s extraordinary influence.
Known for his love of fragrance, Jungkook spoke about working with Chanel Beauty: “I like Bleu de Chanel. It expresses me naturally without forced masculinity. It’s a fragrance that naturally shows presence without trying too hard, so I use it often.” After the interview, Bleu de Chanel sold out on the official Chanel Beauty website, proving the strength of his impact once again.
Following the announcement of Jungkook as a Chanel Beauty ambassador, the hashtag “JUNGKOOK FOR CHANEL BEAUTY” immediately topped worldwide real-time trends on X (formerly Twitter), showing his global popularity and influence.
