V of BTS has reached another major streaming milestone as his solo song “FRI(END)S” surpassed 580 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.

Released on March 15, 2024, the digital single is a pop soul R&B track known for its smooth melody and playful lyrics. The song highlights V’s expressive vocal style, moving between deep low notes and soft falsetto.

Despite having no promotions due to V’s military service and no physical album release, the song achieved strong results on global charts. “FRI(END)S” debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100, while also reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 5 on the Global 200 chart.

In the United Kingdom, the track entered the Official Singles Chart at No. 13 and remained on the chart for two weeks. It also debuted at No. 3 on the Official Big Top 40 chart with only two days of tracking.

The song also performed strongly on digital charts worldwide. It reached No. 1 on Worldwide iTunes and European iTunes, and became the first song released in 2024 to reach No. 1 on iTunes charts in 100 countries.

Meanwhile, the music video also gained significant attention after its release. It ranked No. 1 on YouTube’s global trending music chart for 14 consecutive days and became the first video by a K pop artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. Tidal Top Video chart.
