Seventeen member Seungkwan has once again proven his entertainment skills by winning an award at the MBC Entertainment Awards after seven years.

On December 29, Seungkwan received the Hot Issue Award at the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards, held at MBC Media Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

He became a standout on last month’s MBC show “The Wonder Coach” as the manager of the Pil Seung Wonder Dogs, bringing energy and humor to the program.

After receiving the award, Seungkwan humbly said, “As a manager, I just picked up balls, encouraged the players, and cleaned. I am honored to be here. I want to thank Director Kim Yeon Kyung and the players. I also want to thank PD Kwon Rak Hee and the production staff. Let’s go for ‘The Wonder Coach’ season 2.”

Seungkwan’s passion for volleyball caught the attention of viewers and sports fans alike. He cheered the loudest during games and comforted players when results weren’t ideal.

His knowledge of the game and help with opponent analysis showcased his all-around skills as a “manager pro”.

This isn’t Seungkwan’s first recognition. He previously won the Rookie Award in Music and Talk at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards, where his humor and charm were praised.

At this year’s ceremony, his cheerful personality again drew attention. Fans enjoyed seeing him help player Pyo Seung Joo with water and stay close to Director Kim Yeon Kyung, showing his full dedication to the role.

Seungkwan has also been active in web variety shows. On “Bibbidi Babidi Boo”, he hosted solo for the first time since debut, impressing viewers with his sharp wit and entertaining style.

In addition to variety, Seungkwan will continue his music career. He and Do Kyeom will form a unit and release their mini-album “Serenade” on January 12.

With two of Seventeen’s main vocalists together, fans can expect strong vocals and emotional performances.
