
Actress Jin Ji Hee is touching hearts as she mourns the passing of the late veteran actor Lee Soon Jae, whom she lovingly called her “grandfather” from their time together on High Kick Through the Roof.
On November 25, Jin Ji Hee posted an emotional tribute on Instagram, expressing her deep respect and love for the legendary actor.
She wrote, “Your seriousness toward acting, your sense of responsibility on stage… I was truly thankful to learn all of this by your side.”

She also shared how meaningful their memories were, saying she would “keep all these moments in my heart” and never forget the warmth he showed her.
Jin Ji Hee ended her message with powerful words: “Thank you. I respect you. I love you.”
The two first met in the hit MBC sitcom High Kick Through the Roof, where they played a lovable grandfather–granddaughter duo that immediately won viewers’ hearts.

Their connection didn’t end there—they reunited in 2022 for the play The Seagull, further strengthening their close bond.
As news of Lee Soon Jae’s passing spread, fellow High Kick cast members including Na Moon Hee and Park Hae Mi also shared their condolences.
Park Hae Mi wrote, “I will keep your dignity and the emotions you left deeply in my heart. My deepest condolences.”

Lee Soon Jae passed away on November 25 at the age of 91, leaving behind a long legacy and generations of actors who admired him. His funeral is being held at Seoul Asan Medical Center, with the burial scheduled for November 27.
