BTS’s V is showing his unmatched influence as Japanese skincare brand Yunse sees its products sell out and top bestseller charts after naming him their ambassador.
On November 5, Yunse released V’s commercial video, and Japan’s Fuji TV highlighted, “V has been selected as the first Korean star to appear in a skincare brand ad in Japan,” featuring both his commercial and interview.
After the ad went live, Yunse immediately ranked first in real-time beauty product rankings on Japan’s largest online shopping site, Rakuten, and also topped the daily ranking on November 7.

On Amazon Japan, the brand reached number one in the overall beauty category.
Offline sales also surged, with Yunse’s official account posting on November 6: “Due to an unexpected response, our products sold out in stores. We apologize for any inconvenience. Restocks are being arranged sequentially, and we appreciate your understanding.”
V’s impact even boosted the stock of Ai Robotics, the Japanese company behind Yunse, which rose 7.53% to a record high following the announcement of his ambassadorship on October 29. Ai Robotics added, “This contract will provide guidance for raising brand awareness and expanding into overseas markets.”

V’s popularity in Japan is undeniable. He is the most searched Korean star on Google Trends and X, topping multiple rankings.
On Japan’s NEHAN idol ranking site, he has been number one among male idols for 240 consecutive weeks.
On Korean actor ranking site BIHAN, he ranked first in the ‘20s Korean actor’ category for 236 consecutive weeks.
He also holds first place for 206 consecutive weeks on K-board’s K-pop idol popularity chart and continues to dominate in the “Korean Drama Male Actor Election” and “Flower Boy Election.”
K-pop site KPOP JUICE also ranks him number one in overall and favorites, proving V’s unparalleled popularity in Japan.
V continues to demonstrate that he is not just a K-pop star, but a global brand in himself.
