Actor Kim Woo Bin is making headlines after confessing that he once turned down several drama offers from top writer Kim Eun Sook, calling himself “cocky” for doing so.

During his appearance on the YouTube show “Fairy Jae Hyung” on October 12, Kim Woo Bin opened up about reuniting with the hitmaker for the Netflix series “Genie, Make a Wish.” This marks their third collaboration, following “A Gentleman’s Dignity” and “The Heirs.”

He shared, “When people I’ve worked with before reach out to me again, I feel really happy. It means they remembered the good times we had. I’m grateful that they trusted me with something even bigger.”

But Kim Woo Bin surprised fans when he revealed, “Actually, there were a few times she offered me roles in between, but I arrogantly turned them down.”

He explained with a laugh, “The scripts were really good, but because of production or schedule issues, I had to politely decline.”

Fans immediately started speculating online whether the projects he rejected could have been mega-hits like “Goblin,” “Mr. Sunshine,” or “The Glory.”

Kim Woo Bin also spoke fondly of his newest project, saying, “‘Genie, Make a Wish’ is very special to me. I was happy to reunite with the writer, the director, and amazing actors after a long time.”

The actor’s humble honesty and sense of humor about his past decisions are earning him even more love from fans.
