
Actor Kim Woo Bin has touched hearts by reflecting on his battle with nasopharyngeal cancer, sharing how the experience completely changed his outlook on life.
In a recent video on the YouTube channel Yojung Jae Hyung, Kim Woo Bin recalled the moment he was diagnosed with cancer, saying, “At that time, I had already decided to do some projects, including Director Choi Dong Hoon’s film ‘Wiretap’. About a month later, I found out I was sick. A lot of thoughts came to me.”
He continued with deep honesty, “Only the good things remain. I don’t actually remember the pain — it was at such a high level that it feels like it doesn’t exist in my life."

He added, "What stays with me are good memories — loving myself, loving others, and thinking about returning the love I received.”

Kim Woo Bin went on to say that the experience made him more grateful for the simple things, sharing, “There were so many things I used to take for granted, but now I’m thankful for all of them. I thought, ‘During this time, the sky gave me such a big gift.’ Since then, my heart has felt truly peaceful.”
After being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017, Kim Woo Bin took a break from acting to focus on his health. He made a full recovery in 2019 and returned to the screen in 2022 with the drama “Our Blues”.
Fans praised his strength and positive mindset, calling him “an inspiration who overcame unimaginable pain with grace.”
