Netflix’s animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” is taking over the world — and now, it’s officially making history on the Billboard charts.

According to Billboard’s latest update (dated October 7, local time), the film’s title track “Golden” has remained at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for eight straight weeks, showing no signs of slowing down.

The entire “KPop Demon Hunters” OST album also hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking its second time topping the chart — a rare achievement for an animated film soundtrack.

Several other tracks from the OST are dominating the charts as well, including “Soda Pop” at No. 7, “Your Idol” at No. 10, “How It’s Done” at No. 17, and “What It Sounds Like” at No. 27. In total, eight songs from the soundtrack are currently on the Hot 100 — proving just how massive the project’s impact is worldwide.

The movie follows HUNTRIX, a global K-pop girl group who live double lives as demon hunters when they’re off stage.

Since its premiere, the film has soared to Netflix’s Top 10 in over 90 countries and reached No. 1 in more than 40, solidifying its status as one of the most successful K-pop-inspired projects ever.
