Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee’s new drama My Youth may be facing low numbers in Korea, but it’s proving its power overseas.

The JTBC Friday series started with a 2.9% viewership rating but dropped to its lowest at 1.9% with episode 5.

Despite this, Asia’s largest OTT platform Viu revealed that for the second week of September (September 8–14), My Youth ranked No.1 among Korean dramas in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore.

My Youth tells the story of Sun Woo Hae (Song Joong Ki), who finally begins a simple life later than others and unexpectedly reunites with his first love, Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee).

The drama follows their journey of rediscovering youthful memories through a touching romance filled with quiet laughter and sweet excitement.

International media are also showing love. Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post praised it as a “hazy and nostalgic romantic drama,” while Singapore’s The Straits Times shared, “Song Joong Ki’s return to romance makes the heart race again.”

Meanwhile, Viu continues to bring hit Korean content across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Alongside My Youth, shows like My Golden Star are streaming now, while highly awaited titles such as Taxi Driver 3 are on the way.
