Actress Ahn Eun Jin surprised Sung Si Kyung by revealing that they had technically spent New Year’s together before officially meeting face to face.

Ahn Eun Jin appeared as a guest on the September 4 episode of KBS2’s The Seasons: Sung Si Kyung’s Eardrum Boyfriend, marking what she described as her first appearance on a music program.

During their conversation, Ahn Eun Jin suddenly told Sung Si Kyung, “Actually, we’ve spent New Year’s together before.”

The unexpected comment immediately caught him off guard. Sung Si Kyung tried to remember when that could have happened and jokingly questioned how he could have forgotten such a moment.

Ahn Eun Jin then revealed the answer.

“We were together when the bell rang on the last day of 2023,” she said.

However, she quickly clarified that it was not a private meeting between the two.

“It wasn’t just the two of us. There were a lot of people there,” she added.

It turned out that Ahn Eun Jin had attended Sung Si Kyung’s year-end concert at Olympic Park and welcomed the New Year as part of the audience.

She explained, “I bought a ticket to your concert,” adding that the experience made her feel a sense of one-sided familiarity with him even though they had never properly met.

Ahn Eun Jin also revealed that getting the ticket was not easy.

“Ticketing was really difficult back then. I managed to succeed and had a great time at the concert,” she said.

She added that she enjoys attending performances, especially during the year-end season.

The actress also shared that Sung Si Kyung’s music has played a role in her acting process. She said she often listened to his song Forever while preparing for emotional scenes.

“When I have emotional scenes, I listen to Sung Si Kyung sunbaenim’s ‘Forever’ a lot,” she explained.

Ahn Eun Jin said that music helps her manage the emotional ups and downs that come with filming dramas and allows her to become more immersed in a character’s feelings.

What began as a surprising confession about spending New Year’s together ultimately turned into a funny story about Ahn Eun Jin being one of Sung Si Kyung’s concertgoers long before they finally met on the show.
