YoonA couldn’t hide her happiness as she talked about the success of tvN’s hit weekend drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
On September 8, the YouTube channel You Quiz on the Tube released a preview clip of You Quiz on the Block, featuring YoonA as a guest.
When host Yoo Jae Suk asked, “What’s the first thing you do when you wake up these days?” YoonA smiled and replied, “The first thing I do is check the ratings. People don’t really call me by my name these days, they call me ‘Yeon Ji Young’ instead.”
In the drama, YoonA plays Yeon Ji Young, a French-trained master chef who time-slips into the past and ends up cooking for a tyrant king.
The show has quickly become a fan favorite, blending romance, comedy, and fantasy with delicious food scenes.
To make her role more realistic, YoonA revealed she trained for months. She shared, “I tried to do about 95% of the cooking scenes myself. Later on, I got so used to it that on set it really felt like I was a chef.”
She even laughed about one particular scene, saying, “There’s a scene where I squeeze out gochujang, and I thought, ‘If I were a real chef, I wouldn’t just squeeze it sloppily like that,’ so I tried to do it properly.”
With both her acting and dedication shining through, YoonA continues to win praise for bringing Yeon Ji Young to life in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
