Zion.T has opened up about an incident where he caught a Japanese singer plagiarizing his music.

On September 5, episode 12 of Mnet and tvN’s variety show Live Wire featured Paul Kim, WOODZ, Zion.T, and g.o.d members Park Joon Hyung, Danny Ahn, Son Ho Young, and Kim Tae Woo as guests.

During the show, Zion.T shared, “There was a recent case that was serious enough to consider a lawsuit. I was on a business trip in Japan when suddenly the intro of No Make Up started playing."

He added, "I thought maybe someone recognized me, but then a rap came in. It turned out to be a completely different song. I thought, ‘Wow, I really caught this one.’”

When asked if the situation was resolved, Zion.T explained, “It became a hot topic in Japan. They contacted me, saying they wanted to apologize, but I didn’t reply. Honestly, it just feels bothersome. In that time, I’d rather focus on making my album and working on better things.”

Zion.T’s candid story has since drawn attention, showing both the challenges artists face with plagiarism and his cool-headed focus on moving forward with his music.
