The global success of Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters is showing no signs of slowing down — even its collaborations are selling out instantly.
On August 28, Nongshim announced the release of a limited-edition product inspired by the viral ramen featured in the film. In the animation, the main characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are seen eating cup ramen that resembles Nongshim’s real product, sparking massive fan interest and leading to the collaboration.
The special release included Nongshim’s famous Shin Ramyun and Shrimp Crackers, with the Shin Ramyun cup noodles featuring exclusive character designs of Rumi, Mira, and Joy. Each set contained six cups, with two designs for each character.
According to Nongshim, pre-orders began at 10 a.m. on August 29 through its official online store — and all 1,000 prepared sets sold out in just 100 seconds.
KPop Demon Hunters has become a worldwide hit, holding the record for the highest cumulative views ever for a Netflix animated film. Its mix of action, fantasy, and K-pop elements continues to capture fans everywhere.
The film also stood out for weaving in Korean culture, from a tiger character named Duppy, to a magpie wearing a traditional gat, to bathhouse culture and even the National Museum of Korea.
Combined with high-quality music and choreography reminiscent of real K-pop groups, the movie won over a global audience. Its OST Golden even entered the Billboard charts, cementing its place at the heart of the K-culture wave.
