Accuser of Song Ha Yoon reportedly turns down financial support claiming documents worth 3,000 won are enough

The person who accused actress Song Ha Yoon of school bullying has once again spoken up, this time rejecting the financial support offered by the actress’s side.

On August 23, the accuser, referred to as A, posted a new statement on an online community titled, “(Request) I am the victim of Song Ha Yoon’s school violence and assault.”

A stressed that the real issue could be resolved easily without expensive travel, “Since Song Ha Yoon’s side insists that there was no school violence or forced transfer, this can all be clarified through an information disclosure request."

A added, "The same documents can also be checked during the investigation. If you get all six documents, it will only cost about 3,000 won. That’s much faster and cheaper than so-called ‘full travel support.’ Please release the documents instead of misleading the media.”

A also explained why they rejected the financial help for flights and accommodation that Song Ha Yoon’s side claimed to offer, “Her article made it seem like they were covering everything, but it was only partial support. If I went to Korea, the cost I’d have to bear would be at least six times more than what they offered. Because of the gap between what was reported and what was actually proposed, I will refuse this offer and explain in my 4th statement.”

According to the accuser, they never once demanded expense reimbursement first. Instead, they emphasized they are willing to attend an investigation in Korea when necessary but will not accept “media play” that misleads the public.

A even revealed an email from Song Ha Yoon’s side, which read, “Song Ha Yoon is willing to provide accommodation and flight tickets for you to come to Korea and cooperate with the investigation. While it is unreasonable to demand such costs from the complainant, we are offering this for your quick entry. Please actively cooperate.”

Song Ha Yoon first faced these allegations in April last year when A, who claimed to be one year below her in high school, appeared on JTBC’s Case Chief and said they were bullied by the actress back in August 2004.

At the time, her agency King Kong by Starship denied the claims, stating, “After confirming with the actress, she said she has no acquaintance with the informant and confirmed all the claims are false.”

In July this year, Song Ha Yoon officially filed a criminal complaint against A. Her lawyer explained that while it had been difficult to prove something did not happen, she has now collected strong evidence and is pursuing legal action.

They also revealed that A has repeatedly refused to enter Korea or respond to police requests, leading to a police “wanted notification” in May.

Most recently, on August 22, her lawyer announced that they were prepared to cover all travel costs—including airfare, accommodation, and transportation—so that A could return to Korea quickly and undergo investigation.
