Big Hit Music’s brand-new boy group Cortis (Martin, James, Joo Hoon, Sung Hyun, and Gun Ho) has officially entered the scene, following in the footsteps of BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
On August 18 at 6 PM KST, Cortis dropped their concept performance film for their debut album’s title track “What You Want” through HYBE Labels’ official YouTube channel, officially kicking off their activities.
The video, filmed in a single take, immediately stood out for its unique setup. Against the backdrop of the wide Los Angeles desert, the five members delivered a powerful performance while dancing across 35 treadmills lined up in the sand.

With sweat dripping and energy radiating, the group’s bold and creative choreography left a strong impression. The performance highlights Cortis’ message: “We won’t hesitate to get what we want.”
The idea of using treadmills has been gaining attention for its creativity and symbolism. The machines represent the countless hours of training, sweat, and effort spent in practice rooms—now transformed into an unforgettable debut stage.
What makes Cortis even more impressive is that all the members are still in their teens, yet they actively participated in the music, choreography, and video production. This showcases their identity as a true “young creator crew” with fresh ideas and originality.
Meanwhile, Cortis is set to make their music show debut on Mnet’s M Countdown on August 21. Their first album, “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES”, will officially drop on September 8.
