Rapper BewhY finally met STAYC again — the first group he ever saw live during his military days — and proudly proved he’s a true “successful fan.”
On the August 15 broadcast of Mnet’s Live Wire (episode 9), BewhY and STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, J) came together through a special connection from his time in the military band.
The two teams exchanged warm admiration and prepared to give viewers touching and fun moments with a joint stage and solo performances.
MC Jung Jae Hyung teased, “You two don’t seem like a match at all, so why did you choose STAYC?” BewhY smiled and said, “My time in the military band was a turning point in my life. Back then, STAYC gave me great comfort. They were the main act at a military event, and I still remember that moment vividly.”

Hearing his heartfelt words, Jung Jae Hyung pointed out, “This is the first time I’ve seen BewhY so nervous and red-faced.”

BewhY also revealed a treasured memory from that day. “STAYC performed last during the event. I screamed like crazy, hoping they would feel my heart”, he shared, making everyone laugh.
STAYC’s Sieun responded with her own surprise confession, “I really like rap. I’ve never been in charge of rap in our team, but during my school days, I often sang BewhY’s songs.”
She then wowed everyone by singing BewhY’s track “Forever” on the spot. The rapper joined her for an impromptu duet, and MC Jung Jae Hyung praised, “It must not have been easy to rap in front of BewhY, but it was really cool.”
To top it off, STAYC also showed why they’re known as an all-vocal group by delivering a powerful cover of their recent trending song “Golden,” leaving the stage buzzing with energy.
