Red Velvet member Yeri recently shared a shocking yet hilarious story from her trainee days at SM Entertainment — and fans can’t stop talking about it!
On August 8, Yeri appeared as a guest on Hyeri’s YouTube show, where the two idols had a fun and relaxed chat. During the episode, Yeri looked back on her time as a trainee and revealed something that surprised many viewers.
She shared that SM Entertainment once sent her to a spine hospital in hopes of helping her grow taller.
“They sent us to places like spine hospitals to help us grow taller,” Yeri said, laughing. But instead of focusing on posture exercises, the trainees found a different way to pass the time — by secretly ordering pizza!

Yeri burst into laughter as she recalled the moment they got caught. “We ended up eating pizza with the other trainees… and we got scolded,” she said with a smile.
She also opened up about the friendships she built during those years, saying, “They feel like school friends to me,” showing how close she still is with fellow trainees.
Yeri even joked about sneaking food while dieting, adding, “I didn’t do anything really bad, but I have a lot of food-related stories.”
Fans were left surprised by the idea of a company sending trainees to a spine hospital for height, but even more amused by the unexpected “pizza incident” that happened there.
The video quickly gained attention, with many praising Yeri’s honesty and sense of humor.
