First-gen girl group Baby V.O.X had fans cheering when they reunited after 14 years—but behind their powerful stage was a whole lot of muscle pain and… magnesium!

On the August 7 episode of SBS PowerFM’s Cultwo Show, the legendary girl group appeared as guests alongside special DJ Kwak Beom and shared some hilarious behind-the-scenes stories from their reunion performance at the 2024 KBS Music Festival, held last December.

The group—who debuted back in 1997—returned as a full unit for the first time in over a decade, performing classics like “Get Up”, “Sad Accident”, and “Killer.” The performance sparked massive buzz among K-pop fans, both old and new.

When asked if they were nervous before the big stage, the members quickly said, “Yes, we were. It had been so long since we stood on stage. We practiced every day for about two weeks.”

When the hosts asked who struggled the most, the girls laughed and all said, “Me!”

Shim Eun Jin then revealed their “secret weapon,” joking, “We all got through it by taking magnesium,” to which DJ Kwak Beom added, “It was a performance powered by supplements.”

Lee Hee Jin apparently had the hardest time figuring out her stage position. Yoon Eun Hye shared a funny moment, saying, “While I was dancing, Hee Jin unnie suddenly came up behind me, and I started shaking. We didn’t even know we had close-up shots! That wasn’t a thing in our generation.”

She added that Hee Jin accidentally walked into the camera frame but claimed, “I didn’t mess up the choreography!”

With Yoon Eun Hye turning 40 this year, the group laughed over the fact that all Baby V.O.X members are now in their 40s—but clearly, age isn’t slowing them down one bit!
