ATEEZ is officially making their long-awaited return to Japan!
On July 22 at 6 PM KST, ATEEZ’s agency KQ Entertainment confirmed the group will release their second Japanese full-length album, Ashes to Light, on September 17. The announcement came with two stunning teaser images that instantly caught fans’ attention.
In the first photo, the members—Hong Joong, Seong Hwa, Yun Ho, Yeo Sang, San, Min Gi, Woo Young, and Jong Ho—are dressed in sleek all-black outfits while standing against a clean white background. Their sharp visuals and serious gazes give off a strong and elegant vibe.

The second image flips the mood completely, showing the members in all-white outfits against a black background. The contrasting visuals created a dramatic and mysterious concept, raising curiosity about what kind of story the album will tell.
Ashes to Light comes 4 years and 6 months after their first Japanese full album Into the A to Z, released back in March 2021. As this is their first full Japanese comeback in years, local fans are showing explosive excitement.
The title Ashes to Light symbolizes “new hope rising from hardships,” and the album is set to include 9 tracks. These include re-recorded versions of previously released Japanese songs such as Not Okay, Birthday, Days, and Forevermore, plus five brand-new songs that have never been released before.
Just ahead of the album drop, ATEEZ will kick off their 2025 world tour ‘IN YOUR FANTASY’ in Saitama, Japan, from September 13 to 15. The group will then take their tour to Nagoya on September 20–21, and Kobe on October 22–23.
Since the tour overlaps with the album release, fans are hoping to see live performances of the new songs on stage for the very first time.
To celebrate the release on September 17, ATEEZ will also hold a special showcase event, featuring brand-new stages, performances, and fun segments for their Japanese fans.
With a mix of new music, strong visuals, and signature powerful performances, Ashes to Light is shaping up to be one of ATEEZ’s most exciting Japanese comebacks yet!
