ATEEZ's San shared a heartwarming story about the person who helped him become an idol.
On June 11, San appeared on the YouTube show Narae Siktak, hosted by comedian Park Na Rae. In the new video, San talked about how he started his journey into the K-pop world.
Park Na Rae asked San, who is often called “Namhae’s first idol,” if there were any other celebrities from Namhae before him.
San replied, “There’s a hyung I know named Na Sang Do. We’re really close. He was also my dad’s student. He’s the one who first introduced me to this industry. He introduced me to KQ Entertainment.”

San added with gratitude, “He told the agency, ‘There’s a younger guy I know, please take a look at him.’ I was lucky. I’ve met a lot of good people.” Park Na Rae responded warmly, “He’s like your savior,” and San nodded in agreement.

When the topic of dialect came up, San said, “I don’t really use dialect. But if someone talks to me in dialect, I’ll answer back in dialect too.”

However, when staff from Gyeongsang-do noticed a slight accent in his speech, San laughed and said, “I don’t think I really use it anymore.”
Park Na Rae jokingly said, “What is this? You completely erased your past! You just said you’d reply in dialect, and now you're saying you don’t speak it at all.”
San explained, “If someone tells me to speak in dialect on purpose, I probably can’t do it,” laughing along with the staff who also came from the same region.
Fans loved seeing this side of San and learning more about the humble beginnings that led him to become one of K-pop’s rising stars.
