BABYMONSTER member Ahyeon has become the center of an online discussion over an outfit she wore during the group’s Seoul concert one month ago.
BABYMONSTER held 2026 27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CH00M] IN SEOUL from June 26 to 28 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
During the concerts, the members wore black stage outfits with decorative details. Ahyeon’s tube top outfit later gained attention online because it did not appear to have shoulder straps or another visible support.
As the concert included powerful choreography, videos appeared to show Ahyeon adjusting the top several times and occasionally using her hair to cover the front. Some viewers felt that she appeared concerned about the outfit while performing.
The clips led to criticism of the styling choice. Some people argued that an outfit requiring repeated adjustments was not suitable for an intense stage performance. Others mentioned that Ahyeon, who was born in 2007 and recently became an adult, should have been given clothing that allowed her to perform comfortably and confidently.
There are also concerns that focusing on selected moments from the performance could lead to inappropriate online comments. Edited clips showing only certain parts of Ahyeon’s stage have reportedly continued to circulate.
Although the concerts ended about a month ago, discussion about the outfit has gained more attention than Ahyeon’s performance and live singing.
Many viewers believe stage clothing should support an artist’s movement and help keep the focus on the music rather than create an unnecessary controversy.
