• Seungri Trying to make a Comeback in China Allegedly Spotted at a Nightclub with Bodyguards but now Under Investigation - Here's Why

Former BIGBANG member Seungri is making headlines again, this time in China, sparking rumors that he might be planning a return to the entertainment scene.

On the 19th, Chinese media outlets like Sohu Entertainment reported that Seungri was seen at a nightclub in Hangzhou.

According to reports, "Seungri entered the venue with bodyguards by his side. He kept his head down and didn’t say a word, but fans still gathered, screaming and watching his every move."

While Seungri’s nightclub appearance has fueled speculation about his activities in China, things may not be so easy for him.

Chinese media pointed out that "To legally participate in cultural and entertainment activities, one must be registered with the Ministry of Culture. It’s unclear whether Seungri’s event was officially registered, and the authorities are now investigating."

However, his appearance is already drawing major backlash. Critics are slamming him, saying, "Despite having a criminal record, Seungri was spotted at a nightclub, seemingly trying to re-enter the Chinese market and make money. This is a direct challenge to China’s laws and morals."

Seungri was once one of K-pop’s biggest stars as a member of BIGBANG, but in 2019, he retired from the entertainment industry after being exposed as a central figure in the Burning Sun scandal.

He was convicted of nine charges, including:
    Prostitution & prostitution mediation
    Sex crime violations
    Illegal gambling
    Foreign exchange law violations
    Food sanitation violations
    Embezzlement
    Aggravated economic crime violations
    Instigation of special assault

He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, serving his time at Yeoju Prison before being released in February 2023.

Since his release, Seungri has been seen partying at clubs and meeting with foreign investors, sparking public criticism. Recently, he was even spotted on a date with women at a bone hangover soup restaurant in Seoul, once again fueling negative reactions.

Now, with his China activities under investigation, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see what happens next!

  • TWICE’s Jihyo buys a 4 billion won building in her 20s, proving she's one of the youngest wealthy stars

TWICE’s Jihyo has made headlines after purchasing a building worth a staggering 4 billion won in her 20s.

On May 2, Herald Economy reported that Jihyo bought a building in Seongdong-gu, Seongsu-dong 2-ga, Seoul, in early March of last year.

By the end of that month, she had completed the full payment and transferred ownership, with no mortgage attached, suggesting that the property was purchased entirely with cash.

Just a month after the purchase, Jihyo registered as a housing rental business operator and completed the registration for private rental housing.

As a housing rental business operator, she is eligible for tax benefits, such as reduced acquisition tax. However, she is also subject to certain regulations, including a 5% cap on rent increases, compliance with rental periods, and mandatory insurance for tenant deposits.

The building, which was built in 1986, has a land area of 152㎡ (45.98 pyeong) and a total floor area of 330.21㎡ (99.89 pyeong). It includes one basement level and three floors above ground.

The property is situated in Seongsu Strategic Redevelopment Zone 2, an area currently undergoing redevelopment.

Given the area's future potential, it is believed that Jihyo's investment is more focused on the property's long-term value rather than immediate rental income.
