• Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Finally Speaks Out: “He Dated Kim Sae Ron, But NOT When She Was a Minor”, Netizens Still Not Convinced — Here's Why

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has finally addressed the ongoing controversy, confirming that the actor was in a past relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron. However, they strongly denied claims that he dated her when she was a minor.

On March 14, Gold Medalist released an official statement, saying, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020.”

The agency added that they had initially planned to release a statement next week with solid evidence to counter the allegations made by Garo Sero Institute, but the actor’s worsening mental state forced them to respond earlier.

Gold Medalist revealed that Kim Soo Hyun has been struggling emotionally since Garo Sero Institute accused him of being involved in the deceased actress's tragic passing.

They stated, “On the night of March 12, after the broadcast, a person with a camera was stationed outside our company’s entrance and in the parking lot until dawn. Even on March 13, individuals with cameras continued to linger around the building, causing extreme psychological pressure on Kim Soo Hyun.”

The agency made it clear that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron only dated after she became an adult. They also accused Garo Sero Institute of distorting facts by making photos from their relationship seem like they were taken when she was underage.

They explained, “The pictures Kim Sae Ron uploaded in March 2024 and the ones shown in Garo Sero Institute’s broadcast on March 11, 2025, were all taken on the same day in the winter of 2020, when they were dating.”

Gold Medalist also criticized the YouTube channel for twisting the timeline:

    • “They falsely claimed Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron had been dating since 2015.”
    • “They placed letters from Kim Soo Hyun’s military service next to recent postcards to make it seem like he had been dating her since her minor years.”
    • “They took a social media nickname Kim Sae Ron used publicly since 2016 and made it seem like a private pet name between them.”

Despite the agency’s statement, public reaction remains mixed. Many netizens are still skeptical, questioning why Kim Soo Hyun stayed silent for so long. Some are demanding that he take legal action against the false claims, while others believe the evidence against him is still unclear.

The controversy erupted when Garo Sero Institute claimed on March 10 that Kim Soo Hyun had been dating Kim Sae Ron for six years, starting in 2015 when she was a middle school student. Since Kim Sae Ron was born in 2000 and Kim Soo Hyun in 1988, this accusation caused a huge backlash.

Initially, Kim Soo Hyun’s side strongly denied the rumors, calling them “completely false.” However, after more photos and handwritten letters surfaced, they promised to release a statement with “clear evidence”—which they have now done.

But will this be enough to clear Kim Soo Hyun’s name? Fans are still waiting for more answers.

  • Steve Yoo Still Dreaming of Returning to South Korea Shares Emotional Message after 23 Years: "I Love You, Korea"

Singer Steve Yoo (Yoo Seung Jun), who has been banned from entering South Korea for over two decades, continues to express his love for the country and his desire to return.

On March 21, Yoo Seung Jun posted a video on his personal account along with a cryptic caption, saying, “When one door closes, another opens. When one door opens, another closes.”

He continued, “Just because a door has opened doesn’t mean I should leave, and just because one is closed doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try to open it. I am simply walking the path my father told me to take. Whether people acknowledge it or not no longer matters to me.”

His hashtags also caught attention, as he included “I love you,” “Bless you,” “South Korea,” “Loved ones,” “Everything will be okay,” and Korea.” Fans couldn’t help but wonder if he was once again hinting at his hope to return.

Just a few days earlier, on March 18, Yoo Seung Jun had also posted a nostalgic message about his time in South Korea.

He wrote, “December 7, 1989—13 years old (1st year of middle school). The school I attended until the day before I immigrated to the U.S. in Songpa-gu, Oju Middle School, is still the same.”

Along with his message, he shared a video of the school's walls and playground, revealing, “One of my fans filmed my middle school, which I attended until I left for the U.S., and sent me the video.”

The clip also showed scenes of his elementary school, making fans reminisce about his past in Korea.

Yoo Seung Jun was one of the most popular artists in South Korea during the 1990s, but his career took a sharp turn in 2002 when he unexpectedly left for the U.S., renounced his Korean citizenship, and became a U.S. citizen.

This led to widespread backlash, as many saw it as an attempt to evade mandatory military service. As a result, the South Korean government banned him from entering the country.

Since then, he has repeatedly taken legal action in hopes of lifting the ban. Now, with his continued efforts and heartfelt messages about Korea, many are wondering—will he finally be allowed back after 23 years?
