MAMAMOO’s Hwasa gained attention after continuing her performance at Psy’s Summer Swag concert despite suffering a knee injury on stage.
Recently, videos and reviews from Psy’s Summer Swag concert held in Wonju, Gangwon Province, on July 25 spread across online communities and social media.
During her performance of songs including Maria and Chili, Hwasa moved to the extended stage and performed choreography that required her to place her knees on the floor. During the move, her knee was scraped, causing bleeding.
Despite the injury, Hwasa continued the show without stopping and completed all of her scheduled performances.
Fans who attended the concert shared their concerns online, leaving comments such as, "Please protect Hwasa’s knees," "It’s heartbreaking," "She worked hard even though her knees were injured," and "This is why she is a true professional."
This was not the first time Hwasa experienced a knee injury during Psy’s Summer Swag concert, as she previously suffered a similar injury during the Uijeongbu performance last month.
Meanwhile, Hwasa’s group MAMAMOO recently returned as a full group with the special single 4WARD after a three-year and eight-month break. The group is currently continuing their world tour with upcoming stops in Macau, Singapore, Manila, North America, Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur.
