Former SISTAR member and solo artist Hyolyn opened up about the challenges of running her own entertainment agency and the responsibility that comes with managing a company.
Hyolyn appeared on KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show on July 27, where she shared her honest thoughts about life as the CEO of her own one person agency.
During the broadcast, Park Myung Soo asked about her company, and Hyolyn revealed that she has been independently managing her agency for eight years.
"When I started standing on my own, I created a one person agency, and it has already been 8 years. I built it based on my experiences and the things I thought needed improvement," she said.
Hyolyn’s company currently has five members, including herself. She explained that she chose to create her own agency after SISTAR’s group activities ended because she wanted to avoid spending too much time adjusting with multiple companies.
"I thought joining another company might make things easier, but after group activities ended, I felt too rushed. I thought the time spent coordinating with many companies was too valuable to waste," she shared.
While talking about managing the company, Hyolyn also showed her humorous side when Park Myung Soo mentioned that she now had to work hard to pay employee salaries.
"Hyolyn needs to get paid too. It’s tiring," she joked.
The singer also discussed the financial burden of preparing her latest album, revealing that the production costs created additional pressure.
"I spent a lot of money on this album. Since I went into the negative while preparing for the album, I now need to turn it into a profit. Because I’m not alone anymore, I feel more responsibility," she explained.
Hyolyn first established Bridge Entertainment in 2017 and later changed the company name to ReH Entertainment in January 2025. She recently released her fourth mini album OriginaLyn on July 22 and took part in producing all tracks on the album.
