• Wheesung’s Funeral Put on Hold? Not Because of an Autopsy —Heartbreaking Reason Revealed

The sudden passing of singer Wheesung has left the entertainment industry in deep shock, and now, reports say that his funeral may not happen at all.

On March 11, OSEN reported that Wheesung’s funeral proceedings are currently on hold, and there’s even a chance they might be omitted entirely.

Earlier, his agency, Taejo Entertainment, confirmed the tragic news, stating, “On March 10, our artist Wheesung has left us. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was pronounced dead.” He was 43 years old.

Authorities revealed that Wheesung was discovered unconscious in his Gwangjin-gu apartment around 6:29 PM. His family called emergency responders, who performed CPR and other life-saving measures, but he was ultimately pronounced dead.

While police have requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death, they stated that no signs of forced entry or foul play were found.

Taejo Entertainment initially stated that they would make a separate announcement about Wheesung’s funeral plans. However, OSEN reports that discussions are still ongoing, and the funeral might not take place at all.

The reason? It’s not because of the autopsy, but due to his family’s overwhelming shock. Given how sudden his passing was, those close to Wheesung are said to be struggling with unimaginable grief, making it difficult to proceed with funeral arrangements.

Wheesung’s passing has left a deep impact on his fellow artists. KCM, who was scheduled to perform with him at the Wheesung X KCM Concert in Daegu on March 15, expressed his sorrow, saying, “We are in utter shock right now.” The concert organizers later confirmed that the event had been canceled.

Many other artists, including Yoon Min Soo, Verbal Jint, Harisu, Paloalto, 2AM’s Lee Changmin and Jo Kwon, Changmo, Hangzoo, and Greg, have shared their condolences through social media.

Wheesung, who debuted in 2002 with Can’t We..., left behind a legacy of hit songs, including With Me, The Day We Met Again, Incurable Disease, If It's a Year, A Story That Hurts My Heart, I Thought of Marriage, Love is Delicious♡, and Insomnia (Sleeplessness).

As fans and fellow artists continue to mourn his passing, many are waiting to see what will happen with his funeral arrangements in the coming days.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
