K Will delivered an emotional tribute stage for his late close friend Wheesung on KBS2’s “Immortal Songs.”

On the June 6 broadcast, “Immortal Songs” aired part 2 of its Composer Kim Do Hoon special, where singers reinterpreted some of the composer’s famous songs. For his stage, K Will chose Wheesung’s “I’m Missing You,” creating a heartfelt performance that touched both the cast and the audience.

Before the stage, K Will explained why he selected the song. He said, “The song I prepared today is one of composer Kim Do Hoon’s many famous songs, and it is a song by Wheesung.” He added that it was also a song with a personal connection to him.

K Will then shared his feelings about Wheesung, saying, “Wheesung was a friend with many happy memories and many regretful memories.”

He continued, “I think Wheesung was a singer who influenced not only me, but many other singers as well.”

After the performance, many people in the studio became emotional. Bada cried as she shared that she also once lost a dear friend and understood how difficult it must have been for K Will to sing a song connected to those memories.

Composer Kim Do Hoon also spoke about how important Wheesung was in his life and music career.

He said Wheesung was “a friend who cannot be left out of my music life,” and revealed that he had hoped K Will would be the one to sing Wheesung’s song because both singers had been close to him.

K Will said after the stage, “I stood on stage with many mixed thoughts.” He added, “I sang with all my heart. Thank you to everyone who came today.”

K Will later defeated Lee Seok Hoon and became the final winner of “Composer Kim Do Hoon Special Part 2.”
