• "Is That Really Shin Hyun Been?" Actress Goes Bare-Faced With Short Hair in Netflix’s Thriller "Revelations"

Netflix has just dropped new press stills for director Yeon Sang-ho’s highly anticipated film Revelations, and fans can’t stop talking about Shin Hyun Been’s shocking transformation!

Revelations tells the chilling story of a pastor who believes punishing the suspect in a missing person case is a divine mission and a detective haunted by the ghost of her younger sibling.

As they follow their own beliefs, their fates become dangerously intertwined.

The newly released stills capture the intense moments surrounding the disappearance of a child from a church congregation. Pastor Sung Min-chan (played by Ryu Jun Yeol), detective Lee Yeon-hee (played by Shin Hyun Been), and ex-convict Kwon Yang-rae (played by Shin Min Jae) are all deeply involved in the case.

Ryu Jun Yeol takes on the role of Sung Min-chan, a pastor who, after receiving a supposed divine revelation, becomes obsessed with tracking down ex-convict Kwon Yang-rae. His unsettling expressions hint at a complex and emotional inner struggle.

Meanwhile, Shin Hyun Been completely transforms into Lee Yeon-hee, a detective tormented by guilt and supernatural visions of her late sibling. As she investigates the missing child case, she uncovers suspicious links between Sung Min-chan and Kwon Yang-rae, throwing herself into a psychological battle filled with twists and turns.

To fully embody her exhausted and emotionally scarred character, Shin Hyun Been underwent a dramatic makeover—cutting her hair short and ditching heavy makeup for a raw, natural look. Fans were shocked by her strikingly different appearance, proving her dedication to the role.

One particularly eerie still shows Kwon Yang-rae being followed by Sung Min-chan on a dark, rainy night, his figure cloaked in mystery. Shin Min-jae’s chilling performance as Kwon Yang-rae only adds to the suspense—leaving audiences questioning whether he is truly the suspect or just another pawn in a twisted game.

Director Yeon Sang-ho shared, “The most important thing while directing Revelations was making it feel as real as possible.” The intense, raw visuals in the press stills raise excitement for the film’s release. With a gripping story, psychological tension, and powerhouse performances, Revelations promises to be an unforgettable thriller.

Written by Hellbound creator Choi Gyu-seok and produced by legendary filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, Revelations is set to premiere on March 21.

Fans can’t wait to see how this dark and suspenseful story unfolds.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
