• SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi & Woozi Are Coming for BSS? New Special Unit Drops First Single "BEAM" — Fans Can’t Wait for Their Explosive Chemistry

SEVENTEEN’s new special unit is finally happening! Hoshi and Woozi are teaming up for their first-ever single BEAM, set to drop on March 10.

At midnight on February 19, Pledis Entertainment surprised fans with a concept teaser for BEAM on Weverse and SEVENTEEN’s official social media. The teaser, with its sleek monochrome visuals and striking light contrasts, created a powerful and sophisticated mood. At the very end, the release date appeared—immediately sending fans into a frenzy of excitement!

A Duo That Took 8 Years to Happen

The name BEAM represents the strong and radiant energy that Hoshi and Woozi bring to the stage. From their trainee days to becoming key members of one of K-pop’s biggest groups, their passion and creativity have always stood out.

The two last worked together on SEVENTEEN’s 2017 album TEEN, AGE, when they teamed up for Shoot Me Before You Go. Now, eight years later, they are officially launching as a unit! As the leaders of SEVENTEEN’s Performance and Vocal Teams—and as same-age friends born in 1996—expectations are sky-high for their incredible synergy.

SEVENTEEN’s Unit Power Just Keeps Growing

SEVENTEEN has been proving time and again that unit projects can be just as powerful as full-group comebacks. BSS (Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi) took over the charts with hits like Just Do It, Fighting (Feat. Lee Young Ji), and Jeans.

Meanwhile, Jeonghan and Wonwoo shook up the industry last June with their unit debut THIS MAN, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales of any K-pop unit album.

Now, all eyes are on Hoshi and Woozi as they prepare to release BEAM. With SEVENTEEN’s track record of unit success, fans are expecting nothing less than a legendary collaboration.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
