• Gong Hyo Jin Reveals Why She Was Disappointed by Kevin Oh's First Proposal, Shares Heartfelt Moment with Fans

Gong Hyo Jin opened up about the unforgettable moment she got proposed to by her 10-year-younger husband, Kevin Oh, and it wasn’t exactly how she expected.

On January 6th, the Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong Yup web show featured Gong Hyo Jin alongside Lee Min Ho as they promoted their new tvN drama When the Stars Gossip.

During the show, Gong Hyo Jin shared some personal details about her relationship with Kevin Oh, including the story of his proposal.

She began by recalling the moment Kevin Oh asked her to marry him. "He asked me to go for a walk with the dog, and we were by the Bukhan River," she explained.

"My husband had bought me a new moving camera and said he wanted to test it, so he filmed me. I didn’t think much of it, but suddenly, he asked, 'Will you marry me?' There was no ring, nothing! So, I told him to do it again later because I was disappointed."

But the story didn’t end there! Gong Hyo Jin revealed that later that day, Kevin Oh made things right with a more thoughtful and romantic gesture.

"When we got home, he proposed again," she said. "He had scattered flower petals all over the place and placed 10 story cards leading me up the stairs. As I read each card, I started crying. He’s really good at writing and attached our photos to each card, telling our story with a beginning, middle, and end."

The emotional moment didn’t stop there, though. "When I opened the door, he gave me a ring," Gong Hyo Jin added, explaining the reason for her earlier disappointment. "The key was the timing. He knew I would love it more if he first disappointed me, and I cried so much!"

Gong Hyo Jin married singer Kevin Oh in 2022, who is currently serving in the military and is set to be discharged this June.

Fans of the couple were moved by Gong Hyo Jin’s heartfelt proposal story, and many took her advice to heart—"Make sure to disappoint first when you propose!"

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”
