• "The Judge from Hell" Kim Jae Young Talks About Kissing Scene with Married Park Shin Hye: "I Was So Nervous I Couldn’t Even Eat!"

The Judge from Hell star Kim Jae Young recently opened up about his nerves while filming a kissing scene with Park Shin-hye in the hit SBS drama.

On November 5, Kim Jae Young sat down with Star News in a café in Gangnam, Seoul, to chat about his experience filming Judge from Hell. The action-fantasy series follows the story of Kang Bit-na, a judge possessed by a demon (played by Park Shin Hye), and Da-on Han, a detective (played by Kim Jae Young), as they team up to face criminals in a twisted reality. Kim Jae-young plays Detective Da-on Han, a dedicated cop in the Violent Crimes Division.

Kim Jae Young shared what it was like working with Park Shin Hye, praising her energy and endurance. “Her stamina is really impressive. She keeps her energy steady, and she doesn’t have any ups and downs," he said. "I think I struggled more than her at times, so I tried to keep up. She shot action scenes for hours, but she really seemed to enjoy it."

He also mentioned how much he learned from her in their romantic scenes. “Park Shin Hye is so natural with romantic comedy. Her expressions and gaze are just so charming."

Given that Park Shin Hye is married to actor Choi Tae Joon and has a child, Kim Jae Young admitted he was a bit curious. "I wondered if she might feel a little hesitant, since she has a family. I even thought maybe Choi Tae Joon wouldn’t be too happy about it, but then again, they’re both actors, so maybe he’s used to it.”

When it came to their kissing scene, Kim confessed he was especially anxious. “I was really nervous before the kiss scene," he admitted. "I was stumbling over my words, and Park Shin-hye even asked why I seemed so shaky. It had been a long time since I’d done a kiss scene, so I sort of forgot how. I was so tense I even skipped dinner before filming!"

Kim Jae Young’s honest and funny reflections have added a bit more excitement for fans of The Judge from Hell and his growing career.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
