• "Good Partner" Hits Big with 14.6% Rating as Han Jae Hee Reveals Pregnancy

SBS’s Good Partner is dominating the ratings with its latest episode.

In the August 23 episode of the Friday-Saturday drama, the intense custody battle between Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara) and Kim Ji-sang (Ji Seong Hyeon) took a dramatic turn. The show scored a viewership rating of 15.3% in the metropolitan area and 14.6% nationwide, with a peak rating of 18.8%, according to Nielsen Korea.

This makes it the highest-rated program in its time slot and for the entire week. The 2049 rating, a measure of viewership among adults aged 20-49, stood at 4.7%, showing strong engagement.

In the episode, tensions rise as Cha Eun Kyung learns about the emotional scars of her daughter, Kim Jae-hee (Yuna), and the pregnancy news of Choi Sara (Han Jae Hee). Kim Ji Sang's attempts to undermine Cha Eun-kyung during the custody battle add to the drama. The plot thickens when Choi Sara reveals an ultrasound photo, asking Kim Ji-sang to convince Jae-hee to live with her despite Jae-hee’s loyalty to her mother.

The episode also features a home environment investigation, where the shocking revelation that Jae-hee knew about her father’s affair and Choi Sara’s pregnancy before her mother did adds emotional depth. This, combined with a touching storyline involving Park Ji-hwan (Choi Deok Moon) and his non-biological son, highlights the drama’s powerful narrative.

As the episode ends with a heated confrontation between Cha Eun-kyung and Choi Sara, viewers are left eagerly anticipating the next installment. The upcoming episode airs on August 24 at 10 PM.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
