The cast and production team of TVING original drama The Legend of Kitchen Soldier are heading on a reward vacation following the drama’s strong performance.
A representative from the drama confirmed on August 7, “The team of The Legend of Kitchen Soldier will be going on a reward vacation. We ask for your understanding that we cannot share detailed information due to safety concerns.”
The trip comes after the series achieved notable results on both TVING and tvN.
Within just one week of its release, The Legend of Kitchen Soldier reportedly attracted the highest number of new paid TVING subscribers among series released on the platform over the past three years.
The drama also reached its highest nationwide television rating of 7.9% during its tvN broadcast, showing strong interest from viewers.
Premiering on May 11, The Legend of Kitchen Soldier is a military cooking fantasy drama centered on private Kang Sung Jae, who trades a rifle for a kitchen knife as he works toward becoming a legendary military cook.
Park Ji Hoon stars as Kang Sung Jae, adding another lead role to his growing acting career.
With its strong streaming performance and 7.9% peak rating, the production team will now celebrate the drama’s success together through the upcoming reward vacation.
