• BoA suddenly deletes everything on her personal Instagram

Is this a sign of BoA's retirement and a halt to her social media activities?

The multi-talented singer and actress, BoA, surprised fans by erasing all her posts from her personal social media on the afternoon of April 9th.

BoA has been actively engaging with her fans by sharing updates about her new album, selfies, and snapshots of her daily life. However, now, her social media page is left with nothing but the stark message 'No posts'.

On April 6th, BoA sparked retirement rumors by posting, "Can I retire when my contract ends?" The following day, she clarified her statement, saying, "My contract lasts until December 31, 2025. Until then, I'll give my all as BoA, happily. Don't worry. My love."

Given that BoA has been with SM Entertainment since her debut, fans speculate that her departure from SM might naturally lead to her retirement from the entertainment world.

Recently, BoA opened up about her struggles with online hate comments, which has led fans to empathize with her hinted retirement.

On the 29th of last month, BoA hit back at trolls, saying, "If I don't manage, they curse me for not doing it, and if I do, they curse me for doing it. They tell me to gain weight because I've lost too much, and when I gain some, they call me a pig. I don't know your faces, but don't waste your life like that. Sorry, but I'm BoA."

Furthermore, on the 30th of the same month, in an interview she expressed, "Looking back, I was just busy and overwhelmed. I regret not being able to enjoy it more. What I want you to understand is that celebrities are also people."

She added, "I felt that many people view celebrities as targets for venting their anger. Malicious comments are definitely harmful. There are many things that idols shrink from the gaze that idols should not do this. Idols are also people, and I wish they had a heart to respect them as humans".

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
