• Hyeri purchases a four-story building in Seoul for 4.39 billion KRW

Girl's Day member, Hyeri, has made a splash in the real estate scene by buying and revamping a building in Seoul.

On April 6th, MoneyToday spilled the beans that Hyeri had snagged a 4-story building in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The building was bought under a corporation she set up back on December 31, 2020.

The building, about 20 years old, was bought for a cool 4.39 billion won, which is thought to be just for the land value, not including the building itself.

Hyeri wrapped up the payment on March 30, 2021, got the green light for reconstruction within a month, and kicked off construction in June that year.

The revamped building boasts 4 floors and a basement, with a total floor area of 499.88㎡.

MoneyToday estimates that the current market price of the revamped building and land could be over 7.5 billion won.

While the simple market price profit is 3 billion won, insiders in the real estate industry reckon that the actual profit might not be that big, considering the acquisition tax and construction cost.

Born in 1994, Hyeri shot to fame as a member of Girl's Day in 2010 and further boosted her popularity through MBC's 'Real Men'.

Hyeri, who played the lead role Sung Deok Sun in tvN's 'Reply 1988', earned the nickname '10 Billion Girl' and cemented her status as a top-tier actress.

She was in a public relationship with actor Ryu Jun Yeol starting from 2017, but they called it quits in November last year.

Following their breakup, Ryu Jun Yeol was rumored to be dating actress Han So Hee. Han So Hee confirmed the relationship through her blog, but they announced their breakup just two weeks into their public romance.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
