• BLACKPINK, RED VELVET and BTS Earns Admiration From Netizens For Their Impressive Youtube "Organic" Views

On August 31, a post about Youtube views of K-Pop Idols began trending on theqoo‘ community board under the title, “Why It Doesn't Matter If An Idol Has 100 Million Views On Youtube Right Now“.

The netizen who posted said, “If you click on the link below, you can go to the official channel on YouTube and see the real number of views that don't count ads.“

The netizen then added, "I looked for idols who have reached or are about to reach 100 million views this year. Idols who haven't promoted themselves on YouTube have the same number of views as expected."

The netizen then listed some K-Pop Group Youtube views as the following:

Red Velvet - Feel My Rhythm

March 21st-24th: 14.7 million views in 4 days

    BTS - Yet to Come

June 10th~16th: 90.2 million views in 7 days

    BlackPink - Pink Venom

Aug 19th~25th 192 million views in 7 days

And those are the views that idols with promotions have

    (G)-idle - Tomboy

March 14th ~ 17th, including promotions: About 30 million views

    Nayeon - POP

June 24th~ 30th Actual Views: 25.1 million views (7 days)

    June 24th ~ 30th, including promotions: 43 million views

    AESPA - Girls

    July 8th ~ 14th Actual Views: 20.4 million views (7 days)

July 8th ~14th, including promotions: 67 million views

    ITZY - Sneakers

July 15th~21st Actual Views: 20.1 million views (7 days)

July 15th~21st, including promotions: 70 million views

The total views is at least 2~3x higher with promotions and when they surpass 100M views with promotions, on Namuwiki, it just shows that they reached 100M .

The netizen then listed all the comments as the following:

    Wow, BlackPink is really crazy.

This reminds me of NewJeans. They're topping the digital charts, but their views aren't that high, which tends to make me start realizing that Hybe doesn't really engage in promotions.

Even if they aren't promoting on YouTube, their views go up in other ways, so you can't just say, "They aren't promoting, but their views are high." If that's the case, you should just not count any kind of promotion.

    BlackPink is awesome as hell.

How can the gap be so big…? Besides BTS and BlackPink, nobody else actually has that amazing of an opinion.

You can see that idols who aren't promoting have already done well, thus there's not much necessity for them promote. Most idols who are promoting are rookies who need to get their names out there.

IVE is doing so well, 24 million views in four days. They only post videos on the Starship channel, which is daebak.

This is only a problem because it changes the index for music shows. They must get rid of the list of music shows. Before they didn't have had this index, they were doing fine.

    Huh? ITZY is quite extreme?

It's like paying money to get results…. The groups BTS and BlackPink are also great.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
