From February 23 to March 1, V ranked No. 1 for the 257th consecutive week in the Japanese idol popularity poll “Nehan”.
He also held No. 1 for 223 consecutive weeks in the “K pop Idol Popularity Ranking” on K culture platform K board.

Beyond voting rankings, V recorded the highest search volume among Korean stars on Japan Google Trends and on X, further reflecting his strong presence in the country.
His popularity has also drawn attention from Japanese public figures. Award winning drama writer Kitagawa Eriko publicly expressed interest in V after seeing his advertisement photos.
Actor and theater director Okabe Takashi revealed that he was inspired by “BTS Tae Tae’s pose” during a ceremonial baseball pitch.
Japanese billionaire Maezawa Yusaku previously purchased BTS outfits at a charity auction for about 200 million won and named V as his favorite member.
Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danko has also shared in interviews that he listened to V’s solo album “Layover” during a difficult time, saying the singer’s soft voice brought comfort.
With record breaking rankings and continued recognition from Japanese celebrities, V continues to strengthen his position as one of the most popular Korean stars in Japan.
