The latest ratings came alongside another emotional episode featuring Kim Ji Won as brilliant surgeon Gye Soo Jung, who faces one of her most challenging medical cases yet.

In Episode 9, Gye Soo Jung becomes determined to save an eight-year-old cancer patient despite strong opposition from other medical professionals.

As she struggles to find support for a highly complicated procedure, the episode highlights her determination to protect her patient and the difficult decisions faced by those around her.

The story also brings attention to Jang Hee Sook, played by Lee Jung Eun, whose unexpected connection to Gye Soo Jung adds another emotional layer to the drama.

Without revealing too many details, the episode explores the relationship between the two characters while raising questions about what it truly means to be called Doctor X.

During a discussion about Gye Soo Jung's abilities, Jang Hee Sook explains, *"If Doctor X is a doctor who puts the patient's life and well-being first and does their best in every surgery, then Gye Soo Jung is Doctor X."*

Her words emphasize the drama's central theme of medical responsibility and dedication to patients.

With Episode 9 reaching a peak of 16.6% and maintaining strong nationwide ratings, *Doctor X* continues its successful run on SBS.

As the story moves toward its final episodes, attention is now focused on whether the Kim Ji Won-led medical drama can maintain its ratings dominance and achieve even higher viewership figures.
